Pamela Duggan Obituary

Pamela (Pame) Sue Duggan passed into God's care at her home on June 18, 2004. At the time of her death the things Pame loved, her family, her friends and her garden, surrounded her. Pame was the daughter of Warren and Wilma Follett, the sister of Jerry Follett, all of whom preceded her in death. Pame is the Darling Princess Bride of twenty years (Wednesday, July 4, 1984) to Wayne R. Duggan, the caring mother of sons Sean and Jeremiah, daughter Raquel, grandmother of Destinie and sister to Steven. Pame was a lifelong Oklahoman, born in Oklahoma City on March 22, 1952 and graduating from Putnam City High School. Pame attended The University of Oklahoma before beginning her thirty two year career at The Hertz Corporation. During her career at Hertz, Pame enjoyed a large extended family. She considered all the wonderful members of The Hertz family as blessings. Pame had a knack of 'making all things right with the world' by exuding the essence of life through her radiant smile and a heart as big as the whole outdoors. She leaves behind her legacy to all those whose lives she touched. 'Care, comfort and protect one another and never go anywhere or do anything without your best friends, Hope and Faith.' She will be dearly missed and forever loved. There will be a memorial service honoring Pame on Wednesday June 23, 2004, at 2:00 PM. The service will be held at the Chapel of Song on the campus of The University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Wayne and family:

I am deeply saddened to learn of your loss. Although I had not been in touch with you and your lovely wife in many years, I very much enjoyed the hospitality shown to myself, and my former husband Dane N., some years ago. Pame had a very sweet and caring demeanor that I am sure has touched many lives. With time, much of life's pain fades, but the love you and Pame have known will live forever.

God bless you and your family.

Wayne and family,

I worked with Pame at Hertz about 9 years ago in the training department. I remember Pame's love for her family and friends. She always had such encouraging words to offer and her contagious smile, I'll never forget. When she laughed everyone did. I'm sure she's smiling now from heaven. now. My sincere condolences.

I have not seen Pame in the years since I left Hertz, but she made a very powerful impression on me. I will always remember Pame and her enthusiam for her work and those she worked with.

Pame had a desire to provide knowledge and comfort to all of those around her, always giving of herself to make everyone successful.

My sympathies to Pame's family, and many dear friends, may you find strength in the her memory and the imprints she left on your lives.

Although our paths crossed many times over the years via work, I never actually got to know Pame personally, but she was always kind to me on all the occasions when I have visited which meant alot. She was a very brave and courageous lady and I am honoured to have known her.

My fondest memories of Pame are the business trips we took to Boston for the Excalibur Phase II project. Let's just say Pame with her red hair and awesome laugh and me and my bright colored clothes turned that place out. Wayne came along on one of the trips. He drove us up to Maine for lobster. And somehow we managed to get a lot of work done too. I will truly miss her. As I write these words my eyes are filling up with tears but I know Pame is in a better place where there is no more pain and no more suffering.

What a great friend we all have lost with Pame's passing! So many memories, so much love. Pame was truly a beautiful person, inside and out. Someone you could talk to for hours, someone who really listened without judging or criticising.

My memory of Pame will be as matron of honor at my wedding. Cheeks full of color, in her beautiful maroon dress, a smile of true happiness. Heaven has truly been blessed with our loss.

Wayne, I can't imagine your feelings right now, but I know you are my hero for everything you did while you and Pame struggled with her cancer. I will pray for you and Sean to find peace in knowing that she is at rest, and in God's care.
