RANDY MULANAX Obituary

Dec. 8, 1947 - Oct. 11, 2017 MIDWEST CITY On Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at 12:24 p.m., the LORD reached out his hand and led our husband, dad, son, brother, granddad, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend, Randy Dean Mulanax, to his heavenly home. Randy was born on Dec. 8, 1947, in Oklahoma City to Harold Dean and Lillie (Chilton) Mulanax. On Jan. 23, 1982, Randy married Evelyn Leigh (Suggs) Mulanax. He was predeceased by his father, Harold Dean Mulanax, in 2004; and by his son, Zachary Ryan Mulanax, in 2007. Randy is survived by wife, Leigh, of Midwest City; daughter, Shellie Owen, of Oklahoma City; son, Kevin Mulanax, of Tuttle; his mother, Lillie Mulanax, of Del City; sister, Susan Hendricks, of Moore; and grandchildren, Conner, Macey, and Kyle Owen; Blake, Cooper; and Campbell Mulanax. Randy graduated from Del City High School and earned a bachelor's degree at UCO in Edmond, OK. He retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center after 32 years of service in 1998. At the time of his retirement, Randy was a Supervisory Supply Specialist in the Acquisition and Materiel Management Service. After retirement, Randy was a member of the Computer Club of OKC. He became an instructor there and led several groups on building computers and how to use numerous software programs. He especially loved working with senior citizens who embraced technology. He helped countless club members and friends in solving their computer and electronic challenges. Randy and Leigh studied the Bible daily; he believed in the joy, comfort and peace of God's presence through our spirit. He was a gentle, patient, and kind man. Randy enjoyed daily walks with Leigh and his faithful companion, his dog, Seven. Randy loved music, played the guitar and sang. His greatest pleasure was being a father and granddad. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Ford Funeral Home Candlewood Chapel, 305 S. Sooner Rd., Midwest City, OK, with Pastor Greg Mikes officiating. Burial will be at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City. Visitation is at Ford Funeral Home Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, 1-6 p.m., and Monday, Oct. 16, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. with family greeting friends 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The family wishes to thank Dr. Stan Law and his staff, Dr. Shannon Reed, and Quality Care Hospice for their compassion.
