Robert (Bob) Hall
Oklahoma City - Robert (Bob) Hall, 92, passed from this life on July 14, 2021. Bob was born in Kansas City, MO to Gerald and Josephine Hall on March 18, 1929. He grew up in Kansas City, MO and Houston, TX where he graduated from Lamar High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. After serving in the Marines, he attended the Univ of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1952. Bob met and married his lovely wife Sarah in Tyler, Texas in 1954. In 1959 he graduated with a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Univ of Houston where he also taught PE evening courses.
Bob's past work history included Continental Oil Company, President of Bayou City Steel Company, VP of Doric Corporation in OKC and V-Pres of Special Projects for Koch Oil International where he traveled all over the world.
Bob started Robert Hall Consultants, Inc. in 1975 as a petroleum consulting firm operating internationally and domestically.
In 1980, Bob returned to the oilpatch as President of Magic Circle Energy Corporation. After that he started Hallco Petroleum Inc. as a General Partner for several private drilling programs.
In 1990 he created and developed a system to capture and recycle freon from pharmaceutical waste which led to the creation of Enviro American Inc.
In 1989, Bob started Lea Land LLC and commenced building, owning, and operating a successful oilfield waste landfill in the Permian Basin area of SE New Mexico.
Bob was active in the Society of Petroleum Engineers, St. Eugene's Catholic Church, Quail Creek Country Club, and Reveler's Dance Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Josephine Hall, and his wife of 59 years Sarah R. Hall. He is survived by his daughters, Saralyn Hall, Stephanie Grantham, Shelley Denton and husband Rob Denton, as well as grandchildren: Alise Wagner and husband Travis, Jonathan Grantham, Ryan Grantham, Reagan Denton, his great grandson Robert Wagner, and Bob's special friend Mary Beth Berney.
Bob was a devoted and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Eugene's Catholic Church, 2400 West Hefner Road, on Thursday, July 22nd at 11am with a short reception immediately following and a private interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Sisters of Mercy/Mercy Convent, 4300 W. Memorial Rd., OKC, OK 73120.
