Aug. 15, 1930 - Aug. 5, 2015 OKLAHOMA CITY Roger Anthony Torrey, age 84, died on August 5, 2015, in his home located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Roger is survived by his wife of 63 years, Annette Torrey, his son, Richard Torrey and wife Melody Torrey of Del City; and his son, Noel Torrey of Oklahoma City. Roger had 5 grandchildren, Vincent Torrey and wife Sydney of Florida, Angelo Torrey and wife Cortney of Del City, OK, Natalie Torrey of Oklahoma City, OK, Jordan Torrey of Moore, OK, and Jessica Torrey of Del City, OK. Roger had three great children. He is preceded in death by his father Renaldo Torrey; his mother Domathilda Ducas, his brother Alton Torrey; two step-brothers and one step-sister. Roger Torrey was born on August 15, 1930 in Lewiston, Maine to parents Renaldo Torrey and Domathilda Ducas. At the age of 17 he joined the United States Army and later transferred to the United States Air Force. He served our country around the world for 27 years in various places such as Germany, Japan, Colorado, Florida, Nebraska, Massachusetts, and Oklahoma. His duty took him to almost every country around the world. Roger was a great family man and a loving father. He married Annette Torrey in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Roger was a social, active man who was deeply involved in any activity his family was involved in. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball, watching University of Oklahoma basketball and football, and watching old western movies. His family and friends will always remember him as a loyal, patriotic, fun-loving, family man. A funeral is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on August 8, 2015, in Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Service with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roger Torrey's life.
