Ruby Dyess Obituary

Ruby Juanita Dyess, age 77, of Oklahoma City, beloved wife & mother went home Sunday, May, 12, 2002, into the Loving Arms of her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. She was born April 2, 1925, in Lamar, Missouri, to Leonard Paul Mead & Mary Pearl (Marlar) Mead. Juanita married John Bonner Dyess Sr., January 7, 1946, in Oklahoma City. She was a very godly woman who was very faithful in her church home, Living Faith Church in Moore. Juanita enjoyed cooking and reading. She also enjoyed taking care of her home. Juanita was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her first love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Juanita is survived by her husband John, of the home; daughters, Paula Wells & husband Paul, of OKC & Bonnie Dyess, of Watonga; son, Rev. John Dyess, Jr. & wife Skeeter, of OKC; grandsons, Rev. Bonner Slayton, of OKC, Bobby Slayton, of Hawaii, David Slayton, of Denver, CO, Jason Wells & wife Jessica, of Bethany, & Colton Dyess, of OKC; granddaughters, April Frair & husband Ron, of OKC & Mary Wells, of OKC; great-grandson, Kaleb Slayton; great-granddaughters, Madison & Megan Wells; cousins, John Jackson, & Irene Chase; nieces & nephews, Paul Mead, Kenneth Kruta & Mary Frances. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard & Mary Mead; daughter, Donelda Pearl Dyess; brothers, Paul Mead & Bert Mead; sisters, LaRue Eastep & LaFon Kruta; & nephew, Donald Kruta. Come join us in her going home celebration, Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK, with Pastors Jimmy Milligan & John Walker officiating. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
