Sandra Runnels Obituary

Sandra Sue Runnels
Oklahoma City - Sandra Sue Runnels, born on June 16, 1938, went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 13, 2021. Her greatest joy throughout life was her 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Sandra was a pioneer in the career of Cardiac Ultrasound Sonography and was highly respected in the field. She became a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in 1983 and became an adjunct faculty clinical instructor for the OU Health Science Center College of Allied Health.
Sandra lived a full life volunteering for Meals on Wheels, The Salvation Army, and The Methodist Food Ministry. She also enjoyed playing bridge and gardening.
She is survived by her four children: Barry Chenault Runnels (wife Tamara), Sherri Lee Johnson (husband Bruce), Terri Lynn Green (husband Thomas) and Nancy Lane Daffern (husband Jeff); and their father Thomas Carroll Runnels. She has seven grandchildren: Patrick Chenault Runnels (wife Natalie Runnels and their children Claire, London and Hudson), Barry Kyle Runnels, Annie Lorece Gokey (husband Scott Gokey and their son Shepherd), Nicolas Duane Daffern, Margo Lane Burgard (husband Leo), Kyra Elise Hallmark (husband James), and Kristine Tender Johnson (husband Philipp Porter).
Services will be held at Church on the Rock, 1780 West Memorial Road, OKC 73134, on Monday, March 22nd, at 11:00 a.m.
