Scott Lee "Sweet Daddy" Riddell

Scott Riddell Obituary

In memory of Scott Lee Riddell, aka SWEET DADDY. Born on March 13, 1957, to Nancy and Harry E. Riddell in Oklahoma City. At forty-four years old, he has been a best friend, a devoted son, a pad'na at the OLD WEST, a gun slinger, an F.R.B. (Fabulous Riddell Boy), a football star, a handyman, a coach, an advisor, and incredible father, and a loving husband. His two children, Cody, 'My Man', and Kayte, 'Doogle' are his pride and joy. He gave of himself unconditionally to all and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His family and 'home', were the most important thing in his life. In little league, he could make the smallest boy feel like the largest of a man. He is preceded, in death, by his father, Harry E. Riddell, and niece, Alyssa Riddell. He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Kerry, Yukon; his two children, Cody and Kayte, Yukon, her children, Alicia Scott and Karlie Scott, Yukon; his mother, Mrs. Nancy Riddell, and brother, Randy, Oklahoma City; his brother, Dean and Julie, and niece, Ashley and nephew, Austin, Yukon, and a large group of friends that seem to be a part of the family. A very special thanks to his mother and father in law, Shirley and Bob Wilkie, Bethany, his sister-in-law and brother- in-law, Marla and Ron Dahl, niece Kim Weaver, and nephew, Ryan Lujan and wife, Nikki, Yukon, for their support and love given so freely. Scott was a big man whose heart was as large as the man himself. Services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at Council Road Baptist Church, with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family request that memorials be made to The Deaconess Foundation, 5300 N. Grand Blvd, Suite 210, Oklahoma City, OK 73112. Please specify contribution on behalf of Scott Riddell. He was my grandfather, he died when my mom was 17 years old, so I never got to meet him. But I wish everyday that I could talk to him and just have a conversation. Though we have not met we will someday. I love you pawpaw -Cameron

Nancy & family

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Today's prayer from Magnicat seemed appropriate for you.

Lord God of darkness and of light, you sent your Son into our midst to replace weeping with rejoicing, to end the night of death with the new day of resurrection, to fill the silence of a world under sentence of death with the exultant song of praise sung for all eternity by the choirs of heaven. Grant us a new and steadfast spirit that we may always give you thanks through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Family and Friends of Scott:

I am so sorry for your loss. Scott has been my brother's best friend for so many years and I am sure he has been this to many people. He touched so many people in his life that has ended too early. I don't know why God took him from this earth so soon, however I know he has not taken him from our lives. His memory of a loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend will forever help to sustain us and remind us to treasure our time we have left on this earth. I pray that God's peace that passes all understanding be with in this time of sorrow. My love to the family and many friends of Scott. Jeanine Pugh (Reno)
