Terry J. Ham
December 8, 1950-November 29, 2020
Terry J. Ham passed away the morning of November 29, 2020. Born December 8, 1950 to John and Vernona Ham, he was a longtime resident of Guthrie, OK.
Terry attended Northwest Classen High School, where he was a member of the debate team. He met his wife, Carol Morrow, while attending the University of Central Oklahoma, and the two were married January 8, 1972. Together, they had two daughters, Heather Satterberg of Seattle, WA and Hollye Laymon of Guthrie, OK.
Terry retired from the Oklahoma State Tax Commission. He was an avid reader and lover of science fiction, with a great love of history. He also enjoyed spending time gardening alongside his wife of 48 years, and his family will retain many fond memories of traveling together.
Preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew, Terry is survived by both his parents and two brothers, as well as his wife, daughters, and four grandchildren. In lieu of a service, the family will be honoring Terry's wishes of cremation and plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.

I worked with Terry at OTC. He was instrumental in helping me further my career I'll never forget Terry. He was always telling us little bits of history and trivia then he would say,"Now, do you believe that?". Under that stern exterior was a really soft heart and a kind man. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Carol, I don’t know if you remember me, but we worked together at Frontier Federal in Oklahoma City many years ago. I have fond memories of you and Terry, and I was so sorry to read about your loss in the Oklahoman. Warm regards.

Mr. Ham was a mentor to me in debate and later on a respected friend. He had a mind for debate that most couldn't see the brilliance of upon 1st glance. He helped start the entire NFL program at Edmond North along with Jo Russell. Condolences to Holly and her family.
