VERNA ORMISTON Obituary

June 26, 1928 - July 2, 2015 OKLAHOMA CITY Verna Mae Ormiston, of Oklahoma City, passed away July 2, 2015, at the age of 87. She was born June 26, 1928, in Oklahoma City to Vernie Dyer and Hazel Brogdon. Verna and her husband, Lloyd, owned and operated Oklahoma Clutch Supply. She was a member of Capitol Hill Assembly of God. Verna enjoyed golfing and was a member of Willow Creek Golf & Country Club. She was an amazing grandmother. Her first love was her family. Verna is survived by two daughters, Linda Miller & husband Mike Tegler and Susan Walker & husband Mark; one son, Lloyd Ormiston, Jr. & wife Janie; eight grandchildren, Michael Stewart II, Chad Miller, Corey Ormiston, Jeff Ormiston, Graye Whitener, Evan Walker, Jordan Kidwell, and Malea Kidwell; five great-grandchildren, Alex Stewart, Hannah Ormiston, Brylyn Ormiston, Braxton Ormiston, and Violet Whitener; one sister, Phyllis Curry; brother, Bob Dyer; and brother, Bill "Sonny" Hatchell & wife Mary. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Ormiston, Sr.; one daughter, Sandra Kidwell; and one brother, Gerald Dyer. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.
