William E. "Bill" Blevins Jr.

William Blevins Obituary

William E. 'Bill' Jr., age 82, of Midwest City, was born August 3, 1919 in Erick, OK to William E., Sr. and Maude L. Blevins. He passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2001. He graduated from Watonga High School. He served in World War II with the 410th Bomb Group, participating in 51 aerial missions, including the 'D Day' invasion of Europe. He retired from Civil Service as Deputy Director of Transportation Operations Division at Tinker AFB. Bill loved his God, country, family, and the U.S.A.F. He was proud to be a 32-degree Mason and a Shriner. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman, Bill loved and lived a full life and was sure he would be welcomed in heaven by his Heavenly Father. He is survived by one brother, Hayden T. Blevins, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents three brothers, Happel J., Dale R. and Max L. Blevins, three sisters; Anna Marie Awtrey, Christine Ridenhour and Mary Jo Duffy. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2001 at the IOOF Cemetery, in Watonga, Oklahoma.
