WILLIAM CROWNOVER Obituary

CrownoverMarch 8, 1934 - March 7, 2014 JONES William Robert Crownover was born on March 8, 1934, in Wetumka, Oklahoma, to John and Vastie Crownover. He left this earth on Friday, March 7, 2014, at his home, surrounded by loved ones. William served in the U.S. Army 1957-1959. He was employed at Ralston Purina in Oklahoma City for thirty-three years and retired in 1995. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, playing cards with his family and friends, and spending time with his loved ones. William married Billie Jean Duck, of Konawa, on May 19, 1959. They have been residents of Jones for forty-five years. William was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Clara, Francis, Cletis, and Darlene; and his daughter, Betty Meadows. He is survived by his wife; his son, Ronnie and wife Martha Tyler, of Konawa; his daughter, Gennie and husband Ron Meazell, of Meeker; his grandchildren, Angie, Charles, Lanell, Tina, Kim, Johnny, Rhonda, Jennifer, and Keith and their spouses; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Jones, Oklahoma, with Pastors Frank Brewer and Dylan Cole officiating. A family dinner will follow at the Jones Community Center. His final resting place will be at the Jones IOOF Cemetery in Jones, Oklahoma.
