Alton Colbert Obituary
He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Glen Colbert, Sr. and his brother, Claude Andrew Colbert.
He is survived by his children, Cayla and Cheyenne Colbert; his mother, Claudia Colbert; and grandchildren, Naeomi and Leo.
Services were held Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Stoess Funeral Home with burial in Floydsburg Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday, April 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Jimmyv.org or the "V" Foundation, 14600 Weston Pkwy, Cary, North Carolina 27513; or Kosairs Children's Hospital.

I would like to take a minute to remember my family friend, Glen. He was one of my mother's very nearest and dearest friends for the last 15 years or so (give or take a few). He has been like family to us for all those years. He was the true definition of a "social butterfly", haha, maybe he'd kill me if he knew I referred to him that way. But he never met a stranger and could fit right into any situation with any group of people. He could chat you up and have you smiling in a heartbeat. He was an absolute blast to be around. I have so many memories with our friend Glen I cannot begin to recount them all. I loved Glen and I am so sad that he is no longer with us to make us smile or provide companionship. The world was a better place with him here. May he rest peace and be with us always until we join him.
