Gary Wiechert Obituary

Gary Gordon Wiechert, 83
Crestwood
Gary Gordon Wiechert passed away Jan. 22, 2024. He was born Aug. 9, 1940 in Minnesota and lived most of his young and adult life in Superior, Wis., before moving to Kentucky in the early 1970's. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Barbara J Phelps Wiechert.
He is survived by longtime partner, Sherlon Raleigh; adult children, Thomas Wiechert, Michael Wiechert (Lilian), Melissa Mullins (Chris) and Bobbi Wiechert Parrish (Dale); several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Gary built two successful businesses in the St. Matthews area of Louisville during the 1970s and 1980s which he managed until he sold them in the early 1990s. Later, he started a small landscaping business because of his love of plants and vegetation and being outdoors, which he ran into his 70s.
Expressions of condolence can be posted at the Legacy.com portal at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, Ky.
