Margaret Lucille "Lucy" Collins, 83
La Grange

Margaret Lucille "Lucy" Collins, age 83, of La Grange, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025.
She was born to the late Ora O'Dell and Margaret Frances (Martin) Ingram in Shelby County on May 4, 1941.
Lucy was a member at Buckner Christian Church. She took great pride in taking care of others, evident in her work with Cedar Lake Lodge. Above all she was most proud of being "Nanny" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tip Collins; granddaughter, Crysti Colley; and siblings, Donald Ingram, Bobby Ingram, Chuckie Mesker, Roger "Bucky" Ingram and Michael Ingram.
Left to cherish the memory of Lucy are her children, Steve Collins (Angie), Larry Collins (Laurel) and Jeff Collins; grandchildren, Tiffany (Tobias), Matthew (Shelbi), Erin (Dan) and Adam; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy Clark, Betty Jo Torshani, Jimmy Ingram, Peggy Ingram and Timmy Ingram; extended family and friends.
A celebration of Lucy's life will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St,
La Grange with burial in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the start of the service.
Memorial donations can be made to Buckner Christian Church or Cedar Lake Lodge in Lucy's memory.
