Mike Stivers Obituary

Mike Stivers, age 67, of La Grange, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Norton Hosparus. Son of the late Chester & Leona (Hall) Stivers, he was a member of Southeast Christian Church Oldham Campus. Mike retired after 32 years of service with the Department of Agriculture. Later in his tenure he served as the Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture under Billy Ray Smith and then was the Executive Director of Consumer Public Information.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Stivers.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Brown) Stivers; daughters, Carrie Beutel (Doug) of LaGrange, Becky McDonald (Mark) of Versailles; sons, Jeff Stivers (Lori) of Port Royal, Matthew Robison (Michele) of Versailles; sisters, Charlotte McAlister of New Castle, Cheryl Smith (David) of Eminence; Brothers, Chester Stivers, Jr. (Sandra) of New Castle, Neil Stivers (Louise) of New Castle; Sister-in-Law, Evelyn Stivers of Eminence; and Grandchildren, Lauren, Caitlin, Wyatt, Dan, Maiya & Haley. Services were Monday, October 5, 2015 at Southeast Christian Church Oldham Campus. Interment at Valley of Rest Cemetery, LaGrange
Memorial contributions may be given to Hosparus, American Cancer Society or Southeast Christian Church, Oldham Campus.
