On December 8, 2013 Sonny Lee Botterill, Sr. Devoted Father of Sonny, Jr., Summer, and Cameron. Beloved Son of Bertran and Deborah and Brother of Guy and his wife Julie. Uncle of Lily and Owen. Also survived by many close friends.

Christmas is almost here and you are still being thought of. It's been two years now and it's still hard for all of us. Sonny and Summer are doing great ! Summer is a wonderful daughter and Sonny Lee is the best son, thank you for helping me bring them into this world ! They are two of my greatest accomplishments and I couldn't have done it without your help (haha) I know you would laugh at that (maybe).....you will be thought of today, tomorrow, Christmas and each day after that.

I was the Police Officer who responded when Sonny passed away. I remember the profound impact that it had on his daughter and the people who care about him. To this day it has affected me because I remember the only time that I ever spoke to him. I noticed what a kind and friendly person Sonny seemed to be. To Sonny's daughter, please live every day like it could be your last and always remember to make him proud. I know that he still is. Let everyone you meet see who he was through you. Taking the star off of the Christmas tree was even more memorable because as I recall Sonny was the one who had put it there. Let his light shine through you. Do great things. I know you will.

I'm shocked. I've been trying to reach Sonny to do an electrical job and while doing a people search just now I saw his obit. He was a great guy and the best electrician I've worked with. He was always polite, thoughtful, kind hearted, and generous. The world is a sadder place because he's no longer here.

Hi Sonny, it's been a month to the day since you passed, I still think about it each day. I keep telling you how sorry I am that you had to go so young. You have three children that love you so much and miss you. Please know that you are always in their thoughts as you are mine. Again, I wanted to say to Mr Sonny and Ms Deb how sorry I am. Sonny give me two of the BEST gifts I could have ever asked for and I"m blessed for that. I'm sure God is taking care of him for that.

Sonny was well loved and respected by everyone. He was a great friend and neighbor to me. He had great character and a huge heart.

Dear Deb, Sonny and Sonny Lee's children;
Yesterday I thought I had signed the guest book. When checking new ones today I discovered mine was not there. So here goes again....yesterday I shared I need to find a picture taken when Sonny was a teen at the McCauley family reunion at the Deer Park county park. I need to look it up and get all of you copies. I wrote: "why did we stop these reunions?" After seeing all of you last night and the warmth and love we all felt for each other I will make a great endeavor to get something together in 2014. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. After seeing all of you and catching up with some of your families I am so sorry I didn't know Sonny Lee as an adult. I hope we can all get together with our children so all these cousins can meet and share and maybe have something of what we all had growing up. Sonny: I will miss you so much. I will miss your smiling face, and the hugs I got when I walked pass your house. When you were a baby I was there. I watched you become a man so considerate, and kind. You were the best father ever. You would do anything for anyone. There will be an emptiness in my heart. I do not want to let you go. God will give me strength. Sonshine was such a fitting nickname for a guy that was such a bright spot in so many people's lives. As a father I had the upmost respect for him, as he was the most loving & endearing father I had ever seen. As Cameron's step-father, I learned a lot in becoming a man and father to those you love. I will forever cherish the time that I was able to spend with him and, more importantly, I will cherish and love the daughter he left behind. I will do my best in being the best example of a step-father that one can be because I learned from the best in what it takes to be a true father in every sense of the person. I had the opportunity to talk to Sonny on a spiritual level, and I thank the good Lord He touched Sonny's heart and is now able to have gone to such a wonderful home with his loved ones. One thing I can say with certainty is: the world we live in is worse off without Sonny, but heaven is better for it. We love Sonny and will miss him dearly, but we all will be together again.
