Carl Kettle Obituary

SALAMANCA - Carl L. Kettle Jr., 34, of the Cattaraugus Territory, died unexpectedly Saturday morning (April 23, 2016) in the Onondaga Territory.

Born on Jan. 24, 1982, in Buffalo, he was the son of Carl L. Kettle Sr. of Buffalo and Christine L. Shattuck of the Allegany Territory.

He had been employed as a carpenter for the Onondaga Nation. Carl was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Snipe Clan. He was known as the "life of the party" and always had on his dancing shoes.

Surviving besides his parents are his significant other, Melodie Waterman of the Onondaga Territory; a son, Mason Avery Kettle of the Onondaga Territory; two stepchildren, Madison and Rylan Redeye of the Onondaga Territory; four sisters, Nicole (Gary) Kettle-Thomas of Salamanca, Carolyn Kettle of Gowanda, Jillian Kettle of Salamanca and Karen Kettle of Salamanca; his maternal grandmother, Alice Garcia of Toledo, Ohio; four nieces; and three nephews.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Cecil B. Kettle.

Friends may call today and Thursday at his mother's home, 103 Kent Blvd., Salamanca. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday (April 29, 2016) in his mother's home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca. Burial will be in the Seneca Nation Cemetery, North Collins.

Ive never met a man more funny, outgoing, and kind as Carl. Or with more love for his "man cub" and family.He was only part of our family for about a year but he forever made his mark. He will surely be missed.So very sorry for your loss.
