Donald Stefan Obituary
YORKSHIRE - Donald M. Stefan, of Yorkshire, passed away Monday (July 14, 2025) at his residence, at the age of 72.
He was born Dec. 3, 1952, in Springville, a son of the late Celestinus "Bill" and Effie Elderkin Stefan.
Donald was a welder and machinist and owned and operated Stefan & Son's Welding in Yorkshire.
He was a devoted father and in his free time enjoyed motorcycling and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Ronald Stefan of Portville, Kevin (Maureen) Stefan of East Bethany, Thomas Stefan of Hinsdale and William (Kim Clark) Stefan of Arcade; his sisters, Ann (late Gerry) Cornell of Georgia, Linda (Jim) Schnitzler of Mt. Morris and Diane Moran of Delevan; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild with another on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday (July 23, 2025) at Yorkshire Cemetery, Route 39, Yorkshire, with Pastor Tom Calzone officiating. Calling hours will be held afterwards from 5 to 7 p.m. at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade.
Memorials may be made to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, 2944 Rt. 16, Olean, NY 14760.
