Eugene Hahn Jr. Obituary

SALAMANCA - Mr. Eugene "Gene" E. Hahn Sr., 65, of Salamanca, died Tuesday (Oct. 29, 2013) at the Olean General Hospital, following a long illness.
Born Jan. 6, 1948, in Superior, Wis., he was the son of the late Paul and Lelia Stone Hahn. He was married on Dec. 28, 1973, to the former Constance "Connie" Holland, who survives.
He was employed at Signores in Ellicottville as a shipping clerk for 35 years prior to his retirement.
Mr. Hahn was a life-long member of the Salamanca Volunteer Fire Department, holding various positions including chief for the last 15 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, hunting, caring for his dogs and mechanics.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Eugene (Heather) Hahn Jr. of Salamanca and Steven (Carla Ford) Hahn of Buffalo; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie (Al) Butterfield of Tavares, Fla; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Darlene Hahn, Evelyn Hahn and Eunice Hahn; and a brother, LaVerne P. Hahn Sr.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Veterans of Foreign War Post, Little Valley. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
