Greg Iliev

GREENFIELD, Pa. - Greg Iliev, 51, of 4 Cedar Drive, Greenville, passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly of natural causes Saturday (May 30, 2015).

He was born in Macedonia, the former Yugoslavia, on Feb. 20, 1964, to Kristo "Kris" and Luba Kostadinova Iliev.

Greg graduated from Olean (N.Y.) High School and moved to Greenville in 1994. He had been the owner-operator of the Hilltop Tavern in Greenville for the past 19 years.

He was a member of the Greenville Alliance Church and played on the church softball team.

He was an avid hunter who enjoyed annual hunting trips to Kansas and taking his older daughter to the woods. He also enjoyed archery hunting, fishing and golfing. He loved his family, especially the time he spent with his daughters.

He was formerly a firefighter with the Hempfield Volunteer Fire Department.

Greg is survived by his wife at home of 22 years, Terri Barr Iliev. Also surviving are two daughters at home, Gabby and Izzy Iliev; his mother of Greenville; two brothers, Paul (Lenka) Iliev of Jamestown and Louie Iliev of Olean, N.Y.; two sisters, Anna (Binko) Zlatanov of Greenville and Maria Augostini of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.

His father preceded him in death in 2011.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 73-75 Columbia Ave., Greenville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (June 4, 2015) at Greenville Alliance Church, 63 Conneaut Lake Road, Greenville, with the Rev. Nathan Seckinger, pastor, officiating. There will be an hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. A procession will leave the church following the service for committal prayers and burial at Shenango Valley Cemetery in Greenville.
