Joel Bishop Obituary
DUKE CENTER, Pa. --- Joel Bishop, 69, a lifelong resident of Duke Center, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at Olean General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 1, 1955 he was the son of C. Fred and Betty (Blauser) Bishop.
Joel was an active member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting with his brother Dan Bishop (Dee), his nephew, Eric Bishop (Rachel), his lifelong friend John Green, as well as countless others. He began working for Dresser-Rand, at the age of 18, and remained with the company until his retirement in 2011.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Tammy Stoddard of Duke Center, and Kristy Bishop of Mansfield , Texas; his grandchildren, Cody (Stephanie) Stoddard, Chloe Fain, Jaedon Fain and Andrew Pearson, as well as his two beloved great grandchildren, Jett and Mayvis Stoddard.
He adored sharing daily activities with Tammy, Stephanie, "Jetterbug" and "May May" as they were an absolute delight to him! He will be missed dearly.
