John E. Sisson Obituary
DELEVAN - John E. Sisson, of Delevan, passed away Monday (May 24, 2021) at the age of 63, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Born March 29, 1958, in Brooklyn, John was the son of the late Donald and Patricia Hayes Sisson.
John was a strong, faith filled, family man. He was a member of The St. Mary's Church in Arcade; a member and supporter of Our Lady of Victory Basilica in Lackawanna during their restoration; and contributed to the development of the Our Lady of Hope Home School, at St. Luke's Mission of Mercy, in Buffalo.
John loved hockey and played most of his life. He was a respected, successful businessman, who founded several companies, including Quality Inspection Services, Inc., Quality Equipment Distributors and QIS Leasing, to name a few.
He was a member and former chairman of the American Welding Society. In addition, his passion for welding led him to develop a welding school that operated in the Buffalo area. He also owned and operated BWS Specialty Fabrication.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Warner Sisson, whom he married May 13, 1978 in Fayetteville; his loving children, John M., Luke, Daniel (Brenda), Peter (Emily), Thomas, Molly, Abaigeal, Frances, Bridget, Kellye and James; his siblings, Patricia (Larry) Davis, Alison (Steve) Isgar, Matthew (Megan) Sisson and the late Donald and James Sisson; 13 adoring grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday (June 1, 2021) at the W. S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday (June 2, 2021) at St. Mary's Church, 417 W. Main St., Arcade, where Rev. Joseph Gullo will officiate. Interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lackawanna.
