Nancy Perkins Obituary
Nancy was born to Edwin and Marion Folts on July 16, 1924, in Penn Yan.
After graduating as salutatorian from Penn Yan Academy, Nancy attended Keuka College and earned a degree in business education. She took a teaching position at Cattaraugus Central School. Shortly after she arrived, she met her future husband, Curtis. Nancy and Curtis celebrated 67 years of marriage July 17.
During her teaching career, she taught business in Cattaraugus as well as Little Valley. Nancy worked as a bookkeeper at Curtis' business, P&C Service.
Nancy was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cattaraugus and served as the church secretary for many years. She was an active member of Civic League. Nancy and Curt were founding members of Wildwood Pool.
She was an avid bridge player who enjoyed many games with her local friends. Nancy and Curt spent many hours with family and friends boating at Onoville.
Nancy is loved and will be missed by her brother, Marshall (Jan) Folts; two sisters, Phyllis (John) Veazy and Sally (Vincent) Gazetta; two sisters-in-law, Lynda (Richard) Nunemaker and Bea Perkins-Schwartz; three sons, Stephen (Deborah) Perkins of McKinney, Texas, James (Pamela) Perkins of Cattaraugus and Thomas (Ana) Perkins of Wimberley, Texas; a daughter, Nancy (Rob) Potter of Farmington; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers who provided love, support and assistance to Nancy.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Mentley Funeral Home, 411 Rock City St., Little Valley. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (July 2, 2016) at Cattaraugus United Methodist Church, 53 Washington St., Cattaraugus.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the Cattaraugus United Methodist Church.

Nancy was one of my favorite teachers. She was most likely responsible for my going into business education. I would think of her through the years.
