Robert Wilkinson Obituary

LITTLE GENESEE - Robert D. Wilkinson, 76, of 7508 Miller Hollow Road, passed away Saturday (Nov. 8, 2014) at home following a lengthy illness.

Born Aug. 22, 1938, in Portville, he was the son of Harry and Blanche Phillips Wilkinson. On April 12, 1958, in Bolivar, he married the former Diana Bartlett, who survives.

Bob was self employed in the local oil field industry and was a self-employed logger. He operated a disposal business and supervised the town of Bolivar landfill. He attended West Clarksville Baptist Church, was a life member of the NRA and was a member of the New York State Oil Producers Association.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Debra (Bradley) Sexton, Kristin (Eugene) Robak Jr. and Sue (Patrick) Kayes, all of Bolivar; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Beverly (Richard) Monroe of Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Wilkinson and Katherine "Kate" Langworthy.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar. Funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 12, 2014) in the West Clarksville Baptist Church. Mr. B. David Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar.

Memorials to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
