FARMERSVILLE - Ruth Ann Doty, of Route 98 North, passed away Thursday (May 29, 2025).

Ruth was born Nov. 9, 1942, in Corry, Pa., and was the daughter of Rolla and Anna Adamski Peterson. On Nov. 17, 1958, in Olean, she married her loving husband, Walter Doty, who survives.

Ruth worked at Ontario Knife Factory for 18 years until she retired in 2005.

She enjoyed couple bowling with her husband and traveling. Ruth loved her family and enjoyed spending lots of time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beside her loving husband, Ruth is survived by her three children, Cathy A. (Roy) Provorse of Ocean Springs, Miss., Christine R. (Gregory) Grimes of Franklinville and David W. (Sharon) Doty of Ocean Springs; four grandchildren, Jason, Martie, Ashley and Brandy; and five great grandchildren.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents and three siblings, Eugene Peterson Sr., Daniel Peterson and Rolla Peterson Jr.

There will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38104.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville.
