Sandra Krantz Obituary
SALAMANCA - Sandra Krantz, 75, of Salamanca, died Saturday (July 13, 2024) at Olean General Hospital, following a short illness.
Born Aug. 28, 1948, in Salamanca, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Marjorie Kamholtz Feichter. She was married on Nov. 20, 1971, at the former St. Patrick's Church, Salamanca, to Gary Krantz, who survives.
She was a graduate of Archbishop Walsh, Class of 1966. After High Schol, she attended St. James School Nursing School, Hornell, where she received her degree as a registered nurse.
Sandy had been employed as a nurse with the former Salamanca District Hospital and the Salamanca Central School System at Prospect Elementary until retiring in 2014.
She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, the former St. Patrick's Church, where she was an active member of Altar and Rosary Society.
She enjoyed bowling, ice skating, traveling with her husband and watching the Buffalo Bills and any Salamanca Warriors sporting events, especially football.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Jeffery Krantz and Todd Krantz, both of Salamanca; two grandchildren, Dekkyn and Brayden Krantz; a sister, Sally (Kenneth) Marsh of Little Valley; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (July 22, 2024) at Our Lady of Peace Parish, 274 Broad St., Salamanca, with Rev. Charles Johnson as celebrant. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
