Sean Anderson Obituary
Born Saturday, March 18, 1961, in Westfield, he was a son of Robert F. Anderson and Winifred J. "Wendy" Maue Anderson Wetzel.
Sean was a graduate of Olean High School, Class of 1979. In 1983, he graduated from SUNY Maritime Academy in the Bronx. After graduating, Sean was in the U.S. Naval Reserves for 10 years, being on standby, ready to be called to active duty.
Sean worked all over the world on many ships for various companies, working his way to being a captain. The last company he worked for was Crowley, where he was a tugboat captain in Alaska.
In his spare time aboard ship, Sean enjoyed reading.
Surviving are his mother of Fairport; a sister, Kim Anderson Campbell of Rochester; a brother, Ross Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; and five nieces and nephews.
Sean was preceded in death by his father.
In keeping with Sean's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Burial will be at sea.
Sean's family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, Pa.
