HINSDALE - Stephen C. Bennett, of Hinsdale, passed away in his home suddenly from unforeseen circumstance on Tuesday (Nov. 4, 2025).

Stephen was born Dec. 29, 1970, in Olean, to Stephen L. and Bonnie A. Bennett.

He graduated from Olean High School in 1989. He was employed by Great Lakes Cheese for 36 years. He often made jokes of his employment yet loved the job and the people he had the pleasure of working with.

Stephen found happiness in spending time outdoors, caring for his beloved fur babies, spending time with his fiancee and also taking pride in landscaping and beautifying his property.

His devotion to those he loved - both people and pets - was evident to everyone who knew him.

Stephen survives by his fiancée, Debrenda Good; his mother, Bonnie A. Bennett; his sister, Bonnie J. (Jason) Bennett; a nephew, River W. Bennett; a niece, Willow R. Bennett; and his faithful pet, Ahmunet.

Stephen was predeceased by his father, Stephen L. Bennett on July 17, 2010; and his two cherished fur babies, Brandy and Zoey.

Stephen's warmth, humor, and steadfast love will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who were fortunate to share in his life.

A private Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Stephen's memory.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
