Thomas Reed Obituary
SALAMANCA - Thomas W. Reed, 62, of Salamanca, died Tuesday (Dec. 10, 2024) at home, following a long illness.
Born Dec. 11, 1961, in Salamanca, he was the son of the late Donald and Janice Potter Reed.
He attended Salamanca High School.
Thomas was a self-employed logger for over 30 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing and camping. He was most proud that he held the New York State Walleye Record in 2009, which he held for almost 10 years. He enjoyed playing poker and was also an avid Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving are two daughters, Holly Reed and Tammy Reed, both of Kill Buck; a son, Matthew (Leslie) Kuhaneck, and his longtime companion, Lisa Kuhaneck, both of Kill Buck; a sister, Kathleen (Dave Spry) Collingwood of Salamanca; three brothers, Michael (Norma) Reed and Patrick (Doreen) Reed, both of Salamanca, and Donald (Annette) Reed of Great Valley; 10 grandchildren, Owen, Caleb, Nixi, Ivy, Isabella, Alivia, Emerett, Urijah, Yavin and Zamara; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Parkway, Buffalo, NY.

Lisa, I know it was a long and difficult journey for everyone. Maybe Toms hanging with Scott now. I think the 10th of the month doesn´t bode well for us, Scott passed March 10. please call me if you like.
