Preceded in death by brother, Chester Verkuilen; grandparents, William and Sylvia Verkuilen. Survived by parents, Robert and Colleen Verkuilen; sister, Maggie Verkuilen; grandparents, Carol and John Maginn; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Wednesday 10:30am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. INTERMENT: Resurrection Cemetery. VISITATION: Tuesday 5-7pm, with WAKE SERVICE at 7pm, all at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Memorials to Mercy High School or Children's Hospital. Sending love to you, Colleen, Bob and Maggie, at this time of such great sadness. I know that Abby was a light in your lives and that that light will continue to shine brightly. She clearly was a gift to treasure and touched many in her short life. The priest talked today about what Abby would say..I think she would want everyone to live fully each day and embrace the paths you choose. She certainly did. Take care.
