Kim, John, Nick and Sean,
I just heard the sad news of Alex's passing. I'm so sorry to hear this news after his battle with cancer. I have not seen Alex or the family for some years but have nothing but happy memories of us kids in the town homes growing up. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

It's said that we have 12,000 to 50,000 thoughts a day. Perhaps as many as 60,000 to the deep-thinker.

Alex, Kim, Nick, Sean, family and friends, believe me when I say that a lot of my thoughts have gone to you recently and will be with Alex 'til the end of my days. As my brother related to me earlier tonight, "Alex was my go to buddy at many family events." In fact, I remember nearly all of my encounters with you, Alex, because of your genuine, easy-going nature, charisma, and charm. Losing you and so many others at such a young age is sickening and wrong. I whole-heartadely agree with the shirt that Sean wore to the benefit. Cancer has taken many great people that I know and harmed so many others, but it can never take away the fact that Alex was alive and impacted the world in a positive way.

My heart and thoughts go out to the entire Foehlinger family. They have known too much grief in too short of time.

Alex you became my hero as I watched you in your fight
Against all odds you just kept hanging tough with all your might
Not once, but twice and then again you knocked cancer to it's knees
But it doesn't let up, this heartless, cruel, insidious disease
On Christmas Eve we stood together and watched it take your dad
That you're with he and Bobby now makes me just a little less sad
Those who know me well understand as I meekly sob
I'll always be very proud of you, with love, your uncle Bob
