I would also like to extend my condolences to Alice's family. I also knew Alice from working at UNMC and doing some volunteer work for her department and she was a wonderful and gracious lady.

We are thinking of the Friedlander and VanOveran families at this time of loss. Alice was a wonderful lady! My mom has such warm memories of her in the gift shop and the volunteer office at the med center. I remember how happy we all were when she met and then married Walt! We will miss her, and the world is better for her having been here.

While working at the Med Center with Alice during the 70's, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to experience her genuine love of life and those around her. She was a shining example of caring and compassion. She will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family
