Barbara Jean Bradley passed away peacefully Friday evening, September 30 in Wood River, NE. She was 84. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph (June 28, 2010); sister Patricia Benson (1970). She is survived by her sons David of Charlotte, NC, and Ralph and daughter-in-law Gayle of Grand Island; her brother Henry Andersen and his wife Mary of Portland, OR; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Barbara was born on August 13, 1927 in Omaha to Henry and Mildred Andersen. Barbara attended the Omaha Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Benson High School. She was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2003. She and her husband Ralph were long-time members of Dundee Presbyterian Church where she was very active in Women's Circle. An avid golfer who enjoyed University of Nebraska football as well as traveling with her husband and friends, she also donated her time as a volunteer at Clarkson Hospital.
A VISITATION for family friends will be held Thursday, October 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel in Omaha. A MEMORIAL SERVICE is scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, October 7 at Dundee Presbyterian Church 5312 Underwood Ave., Omaha, NE 68132-2148. The family will greet friends at a lunch to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Dundee Presbyterian to a scholarship fund in the name of Barbara and Ralph Bradley. ROEDER MORTUARY
