A man for the times, Bishop Dr. Nelson George Turner, was a man after God's own heart. Over the past year, we have truly missed our late pastor, Bishop Dr. Turner. As he stated in his final message, "I made a down payment on a room in a Heavenly mansion on high." He made himself ready. Bishop Turner was well accomplished in preaching the unadulterated Word of God. He made an impression on everyone he met, and developed people to become better men, women, and servants for Christ through his ministry. Bishop Dr. Turner was influential in helping pastors and leaders all over the world. Before his passing, God gave him the desires of his heart, which included caring for his wife of 62 years, Hattie Pearl Turner, whom he loved dearly; and securing a first class facility for saints to worship and serve the Lord. Through Bishop Dr. Nelson George Turner's legacy and building on his vision to help God's people, our church is moving forward. We will never forget his labor of love in the Gospel.

Like her name, Dr. Mother Hattie Pearl Turner was a precious pearl indeed, who loved the Lord with her whole heart. Dr. Mother Turner was an extraordinary woman of poise and class, with a smile that would light up any room. She left a legacy as a loving wife, mother, teacher, and was a role model for women of God. Through her example, she taught us how to serve the Lord with our whole heart, mind, and strength. Her words of wisdom and our fond memories will remain in our hearts. The legacy of Dr. Mother Hattie Pearl Turner will continue to live through us and those she touched all over the world. We will treasure the memories of our legendary pearl forever. We will never forget our parents in the gospel, for we know they are forever resting with the Lord.
