Jon, Paula and family,
Words cannot express how great of a man your father was. We had a lot of fun racing and boating. He will always be a member of "The Redneck Racing family." Our daughter will miss her "grandpa Bruce". She was very fond of him as was the rest of us. The river will never be the same. We love and miss him.

Paula & John, I'm so sorry for your loss. I was just thinking about how we all used to get together for the fourth of July at your Dads house, or sometimes at Grandma Pearls. Those were always good times. Those times and others will always be in my memory.

This is kinda weird that Bruce just died because my father was just thinking about him. We lived off 15th ave and High street and when Bruce saw my father coming down the street he would block him in with his cop car and say something funny on the loud speaker to embarrass him. My father restored / collected old cars and parts and got to know Bruce through The Owens family. I just called him to let him know about the lose of Bruce, and he was sad to hear about it. He is sad for his brother David and the rest of his family and friends. He will be missed from the car guys and I'm sure from his Police friends!

Bruce was a friend to everyone he met. He will be missed greatly. I cared about him and he will be in my thoughts as I celebrate his life, rather than the fact he is no longer with us, and I hope that he is at peace. I hope everyone in the family will be comforted knowing so many people loved him.

John and Paula,
Your dad was always one of my favorite cousins and although I have not seen him much in recent years, I will always remember his wonderful smile and how he could make me laugh. My best memory is of him dancing at my wedding. (He could sure dance!) No matter how much time went by between family functions or bumping into him around town, it was always as if no time had gone by at all. He was a gentle man with a quick wit. He will be missed.

Bruce, thank you for being a friend, even though the years put miles between us I will always remember you, go in peace my friend. To Bruce's kids, he loved life and what it offered, always liked to tease (from what I remember) especially his little brother David. Dave, I write this with a very heavy heart, all the words in print won't ease the pain, but always remember I love you as a brother and you are always in my heart.

Bruce - You were the first person I met when I came to Iowa. You welcomed me and became a friend as well as a boss. We weathered a lot of storms together, and neither of us walked away unscarred. I am incredibly sad that you were not able to stay with us a while longer.
Paula & John - My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you during this terrible time of sorrow. He told me how much he loved you both in one of our many conversations.
Lorraine - I'm so happy that you found each other. He also told me how special you were to him. You made him very happy and brought joy to his life. I thank you for that. My sympathy goes out to you. We will all miss him.
