He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janice; children, Patricia (Vince) Carr, Craig (Amy) Mumma, and Connie (Michael) Mayer; brothers, Charlie (Karen), John (Ruth), and Phillip (Judy); adoptive daughter, Amy Getty-Kier; 5 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, family , and friends; special mention to golf buddies, Brian and Scott. He worked for Omaha Public Schools for 42 years, was a member of Local 226, and worked at Oriental Trading Co. for 15 years.

Janice and family, we want you all to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of your loss. Whitey always had a BIG smile on his face for everyone that he ever met or saw. Cain would wait outside for Whitey to come home so he could say "Hi Whitey", that smile was always there.

Love lives before us, with us and beyond us. So glad I got to meet such an amazing man and so saddened that his time on earth didn't last so much longer but grateful that he no longer suffers from any pain.
