Omaha. Carol J. Robson was born in Missoula, MT. She was preceded in death by her father: Bjorn; mother: Pearl; nephew: Matt; brother-in-law: Sydney; brother-in-law: Rick; and in-laws: Marilyn and Richard. She is survived by her husband of 47 years: Mike; 3 children: Jeremy Robson (Kelly) of Omaha, Shannon Phillips (Matt) of Centennial CO, and Kylee Simon (Alex) of Omaha; 9 grandchildren: JJ Robson (16), Madelyn Phillips (15), Will Robson (14), Braeden Phillips (14), Lucas Robson (10), Leo Robson (10), Lauren Phillips (10), Rowan Simon (4), and Ethan Simon (2); 3 sisters: Donna Case, Barb Peterson (Jim), and Linda Jacobson (Dave); along with 9 nieces and nephews.

Carol was passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and was a proud teacher of 42 years. When she retired in 2016, she devoted her time to her family and grandchildren that were the light of her life. She was devoted to her faith and will be remembered by her family and friends as someone who lit up the room with her smile and welcoming heart. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE: 10am Saturday, November 20, at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 11615 I St., Omaha, NE.

Mrs. Robson was my fourth grade teacher. Before her, I really struggled in school. She had the amazing ability to bring out the best in her students and show them potential they didn´t see in themselves. She did that for me, and she turned me into a life-long student with a passion for learning. I truly don´t know where I´d be in life without her. She was my favorite teacher and a phenomenal person.

I had the honor of being Carol's principal at Sherman for 8 years. She was an amazing teacher who had a gift for teaching. I loved spending time in her classroom and watching her teach. I hurt for you, Mike. I haven't seen Carol since our childhood, but even as a kid I genuinely admired her. She was a totally class act back then and I'm not at all surprised to see how that continued throughout her life. May God comfort you and your family as only He can do, and may Carol's memory be eternal.

Mrs. Robson made a huge impression on me back in the 4th grade. The rainforest she made helped inspire me to a lifetime of reading. I think about her fondly that was one of the best years of elementary school.

Carol was a senior at Benson when I was a sophomore. She was always so nice to me even though I barely knew her. She was a great role model in high school & I´m sure it continued throughout her life. She must have touched so many lives thru her teaching career.
I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
