My sincerest condolences to Carole's family, especially Al Jr., Cindy, and Dutch. As I processed the news, images of interactions with Carole came flooding back to memory. Memories of a fun-loving person, kind to a fault, running around enjoying life, observing everything, and having a great time. She made me feel like a kinder, better person, though I couldn't keep up with her energy. The blessing is knowing that the physical effects of Parkinson's Disease (PD) no longer shackle her. Even in the throngs of PD, I always came away amazed at Carole's mental acuity, sense of humor, and her relentless fighting spirit to not let PD define her. I will miss her greatly, but will always think of her when I need to be a kinder, better version of myself.
