May 21, 1935 - Jun 30, 2013
Preceded in death by parents, Charles F. and Loretta Maxwell Sr.; and brothers, Martin, Lawrence, and John Maxwell. He is survived by his wife, Mary Maxwell; children, Charles F. "Chip" (Pam) Maxwell III, Mary "Mimi" (David) Maxwell Reed, James Francis (Teresa) Maxwell, Timothy Edward (Tricia) Maxwell, Sr., and Jeffrey Michael (Stephanie) Maxwell; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Sr. Mary Duchesne Maxwell O.P., Bernadette "Bonnie" Pryor, and Loretta "Maddy" Maxwell; nieces and nephews.
SERVICES Saturday 10am at the St. Cecilia Cathedral. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. VISITATION begins Friday at the 72nd Street Chapel at 5pm, with a WAKE SERVICE at 7pm. Memorials are suggested to the St. Augustine Indian Mission; St. Cecilia Parish; or Duchesne Academy. JOHN A. GENTLEMAN MORTUARIES

Mary and kids - I am so sorry for our loss. I don't know what my dad - or any of us - will do without him. When I think of Omaha, I think of my family and the Maxwells, who always seemed like family. He is thankfully at peace now - and I'm pretty sure he's cracking jokes and making the angels smile.

Mary: I just wanted to say a few words. My name is Michael Mead. My mother is Dee Mead, chuck's framer and friend. I originally met chuck a few years back when I was trying to gain admittance to Creightion Prep. At first, I wasn't accepted into the school. But of course, Chuck pulled some strings and was able to get me in. I just wanted to say I am extremely grateful for what Chuck did for me. I never got the chance to thank him. From the Mead family, we are so sorry for your loss and hope that Chuck is at peace.

Chuck was a treasured coach and friend and it was a joy to know him. I have so many wonderful memories of the Westside Chapel softball team games, tournaments and get togethers. His death is a deeply felt loss to myself and all in my family.
