Eleanor,
I'm so sorry to hear about Cindy's passing. I'm one of the twins that grew up with her. She used to call me Anny. I regret losing touch with you all over the years and am so sad to hear the news. I just found out today or I would've been at both Sunday's and today's services. Your whole family treated my sister and me with such love and kindness - I even thought you should've been granted sainthood when we learned about saints in CCD. I really hope you're given the kind of love back that you so freely gave to others, especially now. I'll never forget the songs you sang for us and the way Cindy would just laugh and laugh. May peace and love fill your heart. Christian O'Connor.

Eleanor,
You may or may not remember me, but I met Cindy, you and Russell through my "Little Sister" - Sherry Reid when I became Sherry's "Big Sister" through "Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Omaha" back in 1989. Cindy & Sherry were close friends and many times when I went to pick up Sherry to go to a movie, go to the park, go to the library, etc. - she would ask if Cindy could go along....so I would call you or Russ and we would stop to get Cindy too! Cindy is one of those people I will never forget - even though I have not seen her for many years! She has regularly sent me, my husband, and my 2 children ages 11 & 12 - Birthday Cards, Valentines Day Cards, Christmas Cards, etc. - we always looked forward to getting a card & colored picture from Cindy! The last one we received from her was just last week for my son's 11th Birthday on August 1, 2006. We will always cherish the card and pictures she worked so hard on and I'm sure was so proud of that she sent to Matthew on his 11th Birthday! Cindy will always be in my heart, because she was a very special person.

Dear Eleanor and Family,
We are extremely saddened at Cindy Jean's passing away. What a surprise. Cindy was a great person and it is an honor to be related to her. It was evident that Cindy was always "tuned in" to everyone around her with her big hearted, quick, and kind response to any questions or comments.
We'll never forget, that she never forgot us with a Birthday Card, Valentine or Christmas Card and that she always knew what was up with everyone in the family.
Ele...may you find peace and consolation knowing that now she is with God and her Dad living in capacities we cannot even imagine.
We offer our prayers and deepest sympathy. In addition Ele...we wish that a fraction of the light that You, Cindy, and Russel have so freely given to all your friends and family ... be reflected back to you... to give you strength to cope with your loss.
We pray that you will find peace in this difficult time.
Love,
Pete and Jan
