Clarence Martin, Jr., age 94, of Council Bluffs, passed away July 19, 2025, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Clarence was born September 12, 1930, in Villisca, IA to Clarence and L. Gertrude (Graves) Martin, Sr. He graduated from Malvern, IA High School in 1948 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Clarence married Beverly Jean Woods on January 14, 1956, in Council Bluffs. They were blessed with son, Michael. Clarence worked for the Union Pacific Railroad from 1949-1989 retiring as manager-joint facility contracts- office of vice president operation. After retiring he started Martin's Green Thumb Lawn Service with his son. Clarence was a member of the American Legion Post #2 and the Eagles Club, Aerie #104. He was an avid bowler, Iowa Hawkeye, and KC Royal fan. Clarence was preceded in death by his father, Clarence, Sr; mother, Gertrude Leu; sister, Wanona Lidgett, and wife, Beverly. Clarence is survived by his son, Mike (Tess) Martin of Crescent, IA; granddaughter, Lindsay (Bill Eckley) Martin of Council Bluffs; 3 nephews and many friends.

Visitation with the family, Friday, 5 to 7 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral service, Saturday, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors tendered by the American Legion Post #2. A lunch will follow at the Eagles Club. Memorial contributions are suggested to Disabled Veteran Organizations.
