To the Dacus family: Mom and I rejoiced in our day long visit with Miss Clarice this past April. Mom is naturally sadden by the death of her "best friend," and her inability to be with you at this time. We have so many memories of time spent together over these many years of friendship between our families. I can hear Miss Clarice's voice, her laughter and feel the love she had for her family. The Bible teaches that "all things work together for God's good." I pray that you all will rest in the comfort His word provides..."The Lord is your shepherd...He is your provider, protector and has left you with the promise that when you "walk through the valley of the shadow of death, His rod and staff shall comfort you." Mom loves each and every one of you, as do I and Vernon (Dennis). May the Peace of God keep your hearts and minds with the sweet memories of your Mother and our angel, Miss Clarice.

To The Dacus Family I know that the lost of your mother is very painful no matter how old you are. After all that's mama. Our prayers are with you. You know we go way back all the way to Cleaves Temple. Your mother was a beautiful person. I can remember her chatising us for cutting up in the back of the church. She was an excellent friend to my mother before my mom got sick and an even better one after she was ill. I gave my mother a card shower one year and every since then she sent my mother a birthday and Christmas card every year until my mother passed. I have been where you are and things will get better. From: Cousin Terri Ann,
To: Family:
I do regularly view the Omaha World Herald obituary section as I have just now. My heart sunk. I telephoned cousin Clarice from time to time and we did talk about family. Due to lack of finances over the years, I have not been able to come to Omaha. Just when things have gotten a little better for me, this happens. I loved cousin Clarice and did tell her so during our last telephone conversation. If only she could have met my son who is 23 years old. I remember when cousin Clarice worked for the Omaha Public Schools and would come to cousin Booker's house, sometimes, on her lunch break. I remember cousin Clarice liked playing Bingo. My son is at work now and he will be shocked when he reads this obituary. I thank God that I read the obituary today or else I would have not known. I love you Cousin Clarice. Rest in Peace.
