He was the first Dentist we saw when we first moved to Phoenix in 1986 when his little office was then on 7th and Union Hills. Once we moved to Tucson, we still came to Phoenix for all out dental needs. He was an amazing dentist and friend to me and my husband Gus. Our hearts were and still are broken. Before we even knew of him or became his patients, I ran into him at a nursery were we were both looking at Lantanas wondering if they were suitable for our back yards. At the moment we both stood there looking at the variety of plants with neither of us knowing anything about them, he asked me if I had ever planted them. I said no we were from Wyoming, and he said, "Yeah I'm from Nebraska and know nothing about these types of plants. I told him my husband was from Lincoln and had moved to Arizona with a work transfer. A few weeks later I got visit from the Welcome Wagon representative who gave me a list of dentists and doctors in our area. So I picked the closest to our home and when he walked into the room where I was waiting to meet the dentist, we both had a surprised look on our faces. Yup we had talked to each other at the nursery awhile back. What a surprise. He even opened the office for me one Saturday night as We came up from Tucson where we had moved to to fix my veneer that had come off while eating. His little daughter came with him that evening and had fun making my chair go up and down. He was an amazing dentist, friend, and human being. Our hearts were broken over his passing and we still think of him fondly today.

We were very saddened to learn of the passing of David Reinsch. He was a wonderful dentist and wonderful man. We will miss him. Crowfoot, a Lakota Sioux Medicine Man said: "What is life? It is the flash of a firefly at night; it is the breath of a buffalo in wintertime; it is the little shadow that runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset."

I told Dr Dave every time that I came in how much I appreciated him fixing a very painful tooth problem that I had after a car accident. He found the most effective, simplest solution to a problem that used to cause pain for me on nearly every bite. How many of us can say they changed people's lives for us on such a daily basis?
I also loved talking sports and children with him, most recently his daughter's Chaparral football team played my son's Centennial team in this year's HS football game. I also happened to run into him at this February's Phoenix Open, and he was a nice a guy there socially, as he was in his office.
To his family: I hope you know how much his patients and friends appreciated him! I lost my mother a year ago to cancer, and I still appreciate her friends telling me positive things. My heart goes out to you!

I too was in shock when I heard the news of Dr Dave's passing. He was such a very kind, considerate and compassionate Dr with his first priority was the well being of his patients. This was the first impression I had when I met him 7+ years ago. You could always tell that his staff enjoyed working with him, and they were truly a family away from his family. My heart and prayers continue to go out to his family and staff for peace and strength at this time.

Dear Ann & family,
We just learned of Dave's tragic passing this morning and are so incredibly sorry for your loss. We will never forget watching the two of you peddling your two-seater bicycle through the neighborhood with kids in tow... you were always such a beautiful, vibrant family! The deep love between the two of you was so obvious.
Just wanted you to know that we are thinking of you and you are all in our prayers.

Dr. Dave was an amazing dentist and man. He always made me feel comfortable, and he was always willing to go the extra mile.
At one time, he actually opened his office for me on a Sunday. He was just returning from breakfast and a motor cyle ride that morning and came into the office with his twins to help me with an appliance that he had placed for me the previous Friday. He had mentioned that I should call if I had any problems with pain. How many other dentists would give up their family time to help their patient on a Sunday?
I can never forget the kindness that was shown to me. I'm sure that he showed that same type of thoughtfulness to many of his patients through the years.
My heart goes out to the family as well as to Dr. Dave's staff. Such a wonderful man's shoes can not be easily filled, but I am hopeful that his lovely daughter will carry on his work here in the valley.
Many Blessings,
Paula Frazier

I am a long time, childhood friend of Ann. We grew up together in Iowa and then lived close to each other in Omaha. Omaha is where Ann met Dave--the love of her life. Dave went to dental school with my husband to be. Ann and Dave immediately clicked and we were all buzzing about their relationship! They had so much fun together--always laughing. Well, they got married, moved to Phoenix and had a wonderful family. I always admired the way that Dave and Ann would look at each other and seemed to truly enjoy each other. I can also see that Dave must have been a heck of a dentist!! Wow, the letters that the patients have written have been so very impressive!! It is just impossible to imagine that someone with Dave's vitality is gone. I am so very sorry for your loss, Ann. Please take comfort in your children, as they will give you the strength you need. My sympathy to Jac, Kay and Phil as well.

My daughter was referred to Dr. Dave by her co-worker. When I saw what a beautiful job he did on her teeth, I knew I'd found my dentist. Even though I pass dozens of dentist as I drive 20 miles to his office, it was worth the trip. I wish the 2 years I knew him could have been 20-30, like so many others, but I feel very fortunate to have known him. My sincere condolences to Dr. Dave's family, friends employees and my fellow patients.

When Bill and I moved to Phoenix in 1984 we chose Doc Dave as our dentist. Our sons were treated by Doc Dave. My sisters and mom saw Doc Dave. He was the best. He even treated my son Billy on Easter Sunday when Bobby decided to drop a baseball bat on Billy's face which took out his front tooth. Doc Dave and his wonderful staff supported us when we lost our son Bobby 5 years ago in an auto accident. They are like family to us. They have supported our foundation in memory of Bobby. We can't say enough about Doc Dave and his staff. We know Doc Dave is hanging out with Bobby now watching the d-Backs. We pray for Ann and the kids and we hope if they need anything they will call upon us.

I met Dave 37 years ago when he was a freshman at Creighton. Dave joined the same fraternity as his brother Paul and I belonged. As his reward for being Paul’s little brother the seniors always enjoyed giving Dave hard time. He always took it in stride, with a smile and wanted to please everyone. Our paths never came across each other until several years ago at Missouri Valley Tournament we had nice conversation. Dave had not changed since he was 20 years old. My sympathies and prayers go to his wife, children, Paul, Cheryl and rest of the family.

When people I know would complain about going to the dentist, I never could because Dr. Dave was my dentist and he made the office visit so pleasant. I will always remember how warm, kind, and gentle Dr. Dave was. Whenever I visited the office, I felt like I was a member of a family--and that kind of treatment always comes from the top. Dr. Dave always took the time to inquire into my life and he always had a kind word and a smile to share. He made me feel like I was important to him, and because he cared about people, I know that he made everyone who came in contact with him feel that way. He will be sorely missed. Our whole family has lost a remarkable individual. We have a void that will never be completely filled. Dr. Dave provided superb dental services to our entire family for almost three decades. Our ten children, many of their spouses and our grandchildren appreciate all the care they received. Dr. Dave was known by many names within our family - Dr. Reinsch, Dr. Teeth and just Dave. One of our grandchildren said that, "Maybe if we prayed hard enough Jesus would send him back to us." However, we believe that he will really never leave us, because he will live on in our hearts forever.
