David William Scarborough, age 69 of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away October 9, 2021. He was born August 5, 1952 in Washington, District of Columbia to William Scarborough and Marion Parker.
He was an Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. David received two bachelor's degrees from Bellevue University in Nebraska. He worked in automotive sales for 13 years and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as a car inspector.
David was preceded in death by his father; his stepmother, B.J. Scarborough; and his son. He is survived by his wife, Beth Rathman; his mother, Marion Scarborough; his sister, Linda Guenette; his stepsons, Aaron Rathman (Tish) and Sean Rathman (Lisa); and his grandchildren: Darren Rathman, Dakota Vincent, Michael Rathman and Zachary Rathman; several nieces, nephews, cousins and others also survive.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11am at All Souls Episcopal Church, 14640 North Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
