To Donna & all Dorotheann's Family,
I cannot believe I didn't keep closer contact with my dear friend during our retirement years. Working with your mother was such a inspirational experience and did we ever have fun. To growing cactus from seeds in the plating room to laughing so much our sides hurt. She was such a wonderful lady and she will be missed terribly. I am so glad I met this enlightning lady and had a great relationship with her. I pray that the Lord will comfort you during this time of missing your mother. Please except my appologies for not getting this information sooner. In fact one of our retirees told me Wednesday at our quarterly meeting, which rode the bus from South Omaha with your mother to work. I enjoyed working with Dorotheann and giving our fellow workers a hard time quite a bit.
My deepest sympathy,

Sometimes it is easy to just pass along our condolances along to the family of someone who has passed but in this case words will never be good enough ........ my lifelong love of Aunt Dot goes beyond a relative passing.....she made everyone feel loved, welcomed and what they said important to her.
Aunt Dot and my mom taught me to love and care for people.....think of others before yourself and swear like a sailor when necessary....the trips to California and Omaha the families made (not often enough) were experiences no one who was a part of them will ever forget........even Randolph would laugh at the craziness.....multitudes of kids and aunts an uncles from the cannon's, brennan's and others we were not sure who they were.....
So many memories of her its difficult to pick one that stands out but when I was a child she taught me how to play pinochle while the "adults" played the real game in the kitchen......during the training she also taught me how to get under the skin of Uncle Gene - the most fearsome competior.....and when I got the chance to play I did get under his skin...my reward was a big kiss from Aunt Dot
The last of our families contribution to the "Great Generation" is gone and the world has suffered a great loss.
I cannot be there in person but my heart and soul will be sad for a long time at her passing

A GENUINE LADY!!!
A wonderful friend and mother figure to all who knew her. Her love for life and for her family is beyond words.
But who could know this better than her own loving children and their families.
All of the "D" kids are so blessed to have had such a grand lady to call mom. I can only hope that each of us that had the pleasure of knowing Dorothy learned from her example to love and be loved. Thank you, Dorothy and families for shareing memories with me and my family.
God Bless all of you.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Grandmothers are all very precious. I believe God made grandmothers to show us yet another part of His great love for us. I pray that God comforts you and brings to recall many very fond memories.

Our sympathy and condolences to Donna and Diane and all the Randolph family on the loss of your dear sweet mother. Time goes so swiftly; loved ones depart too soon. May you find sweet comfort in each other and memories of days gone by as you maintain the hope of the future reunion when every seeming loss is more blessedly restored through our Redeemer and Lord, Jesus.

Dear Heather and Family,
I will never forget the first St. Paddys day at Grandma's. I laughed so hard I almost cried. Your grandmother was the epitomy of "grandma". A strong woman who exemplified what a matriarch was. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. You are my best friend for life and we are sending love to you and your family.

Dear Darice,

I'm "So Sorry" for the passing of
Your Dear Mother and for this
Heartache I know You are enduring!

Today, I am Reminded of
YOUR Genuine Compassion For Me
following the burial of My Father
9-16-1976 ... on The Day We Met!

(Your daughter and my son were "4"
- THEN and nearly "36" - NOW!)

AND, Because of YOU ...
I met Your Dear Mother Dorotheann.

There may be 'No Greater Gift'
On This Earth
THAN - The Genuine Compassion
One Person Shows for Another,
AND - The Genuine Love
a Child Feels From Their Parent.

Your Sweet Mother appeared to "GENUINELY LOVE EVERYONE!"

From the Day I Met Your Mother,
"She Began Leaving Long-Lasting Impressions With Me."

It's Comforting to Realize that
"YOUR MOTHER'S LOVING LEGACY WILL LIVE ON THROUGH YOU"...

G.G.

G.G. my beloved great grandma was always there for me and my family. She was always outgoing and nice. She was always asking where her dog Prince Charles was. G.G. was the nicest person i ever met and i lookeed up to her so much even more than my dad and mom. On St. Patricks day she always looked like a lepricon. She even had green slippers and charles always had a green scarf on and it was so funny. everyone that new her will miss her but especially the people closest to her. Shes lived a great life and now shes in a better place.

Love Austin Wettengel

WITH THOUGHTS OF
DEAR DOROTHEANN,
(Her Constant Companion's
"CHARLES I, II and III"), and
DOROTHEANN's LOVELY FAMILY,

When "I" Think of "YOU" Dorotheann,
the Words "DEVOTION and FAMILY"
Instantly Comes to My Mind!

Along with My Friend's "Kimi," "Ona,"
"Alta"... and My Aunt Audrey
(who is no doubt "A Saint" by now);
"I" Cannot Imagine Another Person
OTHER THAN YOU DOROTHEANN,
Who Embraced and Exemplifies the
True Meaning of the Word "MOTHER!"

Few I have Seen, have Shown More
LOVING DILIGENCE, DIGNITY and
DEVOTION as a Wife, Mother,
Grand-Mother and Genuine Friend...
THAN "YOU" DOROTHEANN!

For decades, when we ALL got
together for Your Family's
Saint Patrick's Day CELEBRATION...
and even throughout these
UNIMAGINED recent years,
"You and Your Charles I, II and III"
never failed to mail a Saint Patrick's
Day card to... "Me and My Constant
Companion's Poochie, Ginger and
Annie-Poo Oakley!"

For More Than 30 Years...
I have Logged in My Memory
Countless Days of Shared
Opportunities and Cherished
Memories With You and Your Family!

"I" am Forever Grateful for "YOU"
and these Precious Moments...

May YOU Rest In Heavenly Peace
My Dear Sweet Friend DOROTHEANN.

Aunt Dot's mix of tenasity, kindness and love of her family will keep her in my heart always. She was an incredible person who will be missed by everyone she touched.

Although most of my memories of Aunt Dot were by and large limited to my childhood and have been clouded by passing time, the feelings that I have been left with are ones of great kindness. I will mourn her passing as my great aunt, knowing that she is at peace and gives us all another link to heaven and in recognizing that, will celebrate her life spent here on earth. God bless and much love

"Mom" Randolph was a strong and beautiful woman who, like our other "South Omaha Moms" instilled in all of us girls the importance of love and family. We were truly "blessed" to have her in our lives. We will miss her dearly.
