You passed and I didn't know until this morning. Someone called and left a brief message saying there would be a memorial at some grove. There was no return phone number. How can that be? I listened over and over trying to understand the message and the concept that you passed. George, you will always be with your family and friends. You will be in our hearts and our many memories everyday. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and your many friends. George you will be dearly missed. Hey! Can you hear me? Yes.
Your loving friend,

I am sending heart felt condolences and love to the family that shared George with his online family. I was always flattered by the warm hellos, and moved by the helpful words of advice I saw him share on icompositions regularly. I am pleased that we had a chance to make music together, and sorry that it was not to be in person, as you so often hoped. Geo, I count it among life's great blessings to have called you friend.

The spirit of this man will live on forever, and so will his love and music. He was still making music; just days before he passed. Geo and Jerry Forney played guitar, while Geo's nurse sang Eagle's, "peaceful easy feeling." Jerry and George, then did their own little concert. George sounded great! Geo left a legacy in his music and art. He taught me to appreciate what was real. His sensitivity was beyond description. The azure blue of the sky, the whisp of fragrance from the purple thistle and forgiveness. George taught me all these things, and more. He showed love to my children, and brought sanity to my chaotic life....Sunday dinner in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, playing cribbage with Merril, climbing up into the tree-house with Caleb and Cody. Summer nights on the Little Farm. Not wanting to come in out of the rain. So many memories....so much love. God bless the i-comp people for sharing in that love. On a starry night in Alanthus Grove, MO, there will be one star named Geo, shining ever so brightly; and we'll be singing "there was never anyone as beautiful as you". George, we all love you and we will remember you. See you later.

Geo, Though we talked everyday for over a year (sometimes three or four times) I feel I was still just getting to know you. I am glad for the time we had and you will be missed greatly. I am selfish, I wish we had more time. You were loved and you are still loved and always in my heart.

Geo, you used to say we were brothers in arms, and I always considered this a true honor. We shared our passion for music, and talking about music I discovered what a sensitive soul you were. I'll miss your kindness, Geo.
Brothers in arms are brothers forever.
