Dear Stryker children:
Many years ago I had the privilege of working in your father's office. He was consistently cheerful, polite, gracious and as pleasant as could be. I remember my days at the Fraser firm with great fondness. Your Dad and his everpresent bowties are among the best of those memories.
Please accept my sympathy in your loss.

Dear Hird,
I worked with your father when he was Power Engineering Company's lawyer in Sioux City, Iowa so many years ago. He was a wonderful man and everyone loved him. You can be very proud, and I was sorry to read about his death.

I met Mr. Stryker when I started working at Fraser Stryker in 1981. He was one of the classiest gentlemen I've ever had the privilege of knowing. His unassuming, kind manner coupled with a dry wit was truly endearing. I shall miss him.
