Age 63 of Waterloo, NE died tragically on July 9, 2021. He was always described as one of the nicest men to walk the Earth. Jim is survived by wife, Becky (Sachs); daughters, Carey and Cassidy; and siblings, Mary Landroth (Dale), Peggy Balling (David), Peter Yungbluth (Linda), Ann Naples, John Yungbluth (Cathy), Joe Yungbluth (Susan), Tom Yungbluth, and Carol Norney. Preceded in death by parents, Mary and Loyson "Joe" Yungbluth; and step-mother, Helen Yungbluth.
Jim was a dedicated 38 year employee of Nebraska Furniture Mart. Known to friends as "Chunga", he was an active member of the Omaha music scene, playing in bands some of which included: The Eggmen, The Hornets, Jared and the Blues Teachers, The Good Guys, and most recently OLUS (Old Like Us) and Front Porch Blues.
Family will Receive friends Tuesday, July 13, from 12Noon to 2:30pm, followed by a ROSARY, all at the West Center Chapel. Starting at 4pm a CLEBRATION of LIFE will be held at the Aspen Room, 9809 M. Street, Omaha. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials can be made to the Omaha Blues Society. All have my heartfelt sympathy. Even though I didn´t visit with everyone as adults, I certainly have many many fond memories of Jimmy as we ran around and chased cows like every Sunday. Keeping all in my thoughts and prayers.

I was so sad to hear about Jim's accident. I haven't seen you all in awhile, and not sure you'll remember me, but I'd see posts on facebook about JIm's music so you all were in my thoughts. A great guy who was best friends with my husband Dave - who I'm sure greeted him in Heaven with a big hug. Condolences to your entire family.

Carol, I am so sorry at the passing of your brother Jim. This is such a terrible tragedy, and I am sending love and prayers to you and your family. when I worked at Nebraska Furniture Mart with Jim he was the kindest man I had ever met. He helped me get through some very trying personal times he always had a smile on his face and never let much get him down..w
When he met Becky his world was complete and they made an adorable couple. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing and I will keep him and his family in my prayers.God bless you all Love Mary Nelson.
