I knew John a short while when we worked together. I've been there for quite a while. He was 1 of very few people I was friends with. You couldn't help but not to like John. Always laughing and doing something goofy. I'll miss the guy. God speed bud.

The Balkus Family, My name is Daniel Farber. My family lived the next street over off of 50th
On Frederick. My younger brother Michael was
friends with John and my
older sister Lisa is still friends with John´s older sister Michelle. John spent a lot of time at our house and Mike spent a lot of time at The Balkus house as well. Though we moved to Denver when we were 10-12 years old I remember that John had bright blonde hair and a hilarious laugh. I remember his mother Ann had her own beauty shop in the basement and I would take my brother there for sleepovers. I remember us all playing near the creek behind our houses and having bottle rocket wars in the back 40 between our streets. To Robert and Michelle I´m sorry for the loss of your brother and to the rest of John´s friends and family I will be praying for you and for John to be at peace in this life. God bless you all. If there is anything me or my family can do please reach out and Email me. All my love and blessings during this unimaginably hard time.

Balkus, so many stories and memories from many years ago. You had everyone's back. I remember early on when I was 15-16 and you were maybe 17, we were pulling up to the stop sign on 36th and Chandler and cars were backed up so you "improvised" and drove through the field behind the gas station to get around it. Can't forget the Wednesday gatherings at your house in high school or the end of year parties at your cabin. Always keeping everyone smiling with a wonderful sense of humor. Rest up big man, you are in my prayers and will be missed.
