John Pribyl Obituary
March 11, 1956 - April 20, 2024
Council Bluffs. Retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 2006 after 28 years of service as a sheet metal worker/pipe fitter. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph M. and Darlene R. (Owen) Pribyl; brother, Joseph B. Pribyl and his sister, Carol Perlburg. Survived by his wife of 38 years, Connie M. Pribyl; sons, Chad F. Pribyl and Joseph J-K Pribyl; sisters, Marcia (Karl) Madden, Julie Bates, Gloria (Keith) Kennedy, Lori (John) Wolff; brothers, Mike (LuAnn) Pribyl, Mark (Patty) Pribyl; nieces and nephews.
Per John's wishes services will be held at the Masonic Temple, 130 So. 6th St., Council Bluffs, IA on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. with dinner following. The family will direct memorial contributions.

Connie, Chad, Joe and family. Sorry for your loss, our loss. I worked with John in the early years of our careers when we were family as much as coworkers. We worked long days ,spent more time with each other than with families.
John was excellent at his trade and helpful as a coworker. He was a storehouse of information on the vintage equipment we worked with and railroad history. Rest in peace friend.
